I buy these plastic cups because I use them to melt coconut oil to use for an oral rinse (oil-pulling). I set the cups in hot water, with the oil in them, and they hold up nicely. They also hold up for several days of regular toothbrushing and mouthwash use. I've used them for quite some time, and never had a problem with cracks or leaks.
